Cost is dependent on the size of the appliance, and the number to be cleaned. We give a verbal quote based on a description of the appliance/s.
We use specialised non-caustic oven cleaning detergents, which are safe for the appliance those cleaning it, and have no unpleasant or noxious odours. They are best suited to cleaning appliances in which the grime has not yet become repeatedly burnt.
Its a very messy job, but the work area is protected with rubber mats and absorbent pads. No mess is left behind.
Most customers pay with cash or a credit/debit card (chip&pin) on the day. Business customers can be invoiced, and pay by bank transfer. Cheques will be accepted only in special circumstances.
Time required will depend on the appliance size, scope of work and how dirty it all is. Irrespective, we book time out in slots of upto 4hrs or upto 8hrs, which usually provides sufficient time for moderately dirty appliances.
A description of the oven, hob, extractor will usually be sufficient. In particular, the number of doors on the oven; number of rings or burners on the hob; and the number of filter panels in the extractor will usually give a good guide.
Please empty the appliance of items being stored in it and clear the area in front and to the side to give working space. Please empty the sink - I'll need buckets of hot and cold water. Ovens will need to be powered (though AGAs must be turned off 24hrs before the visit.)
I'll be working from a medium sized van during the visit. I'll need to park it adjacent to the property being worked on, as there is a heated tank in the van, within which removable parts of the appliances will be prepared. I will need to attend to this frequently during the visit. It is the client's responsibility to provide any necessary parking permits or pay any necessary charges. We are unable to provide cleaning services where suitable parking conditions are not available.
Several circumstances may arise resulting in termination or cancellation of service.
1. Late cancellation. A £30 charge will be levied for cancellations made within 24hrs of the agreed cleaning date & time.
2. Faulty appliance. On attendance, where faults are found with the appliance to be cleaned, these will be communicated and an option to terminate the clean given. A £30 charge will be made.
3. Extreme fouling. Ovens which have significantly burnt on carbon build up are not suitable for this mainly detergent based cleaning process. Whilst we have yet to decline to clean an appliance, we reserve the right to do so if the appliance is adjudged to be in such a condition. Such fouling usually takes years to achieve, so regular annual cleaning is recommended to avoid this possibility. Don't let it be you.
